Crocs redefines ‘comfort meets style,’ elevates retail experience

Its visual displays transform conventional retail spaces into dynamic showcases of the Crocs identity and its diverse portfolio of offerings.

In a highly competitive retail industry, casual footwear brand Crocs continues to set benchmarks for excellence in the industry. Its iconic footwear is loved by millions for its comfort and ability to be customised through its Jibbitz™ charms. Now, it is even more motivated to capture the hearts of consumers of all ages with its unique designs, unparalleled comfort, and exceptional service, all whilst embracing the "Come As You Are" spirit.

Amidst its innovative design, Crocs offers a diverse range of products to cater to different styles, preferences, and budgets. The product innovation team is constantly updating product offerings and seeking new collaborations to ensure that the company is at the forefront of emerging footwear trends.

Its team of friendly retail staff across its 17 stores located in Singapore also understands that everyone deserves to be comfortable in their own shoes. These personnel are inclusive, knowledgeable, friendly, and are exceptional in assisting shoppers with their needs.

To create an environment where consumers can shop at ease and express themselves freely, Crocs continues to invest in refitting its stores to the latest Energy Store concept. This concept supports better product display and bigger sitting area and personalisation zones to compliment the whole shopping experience, allowing visitors to truly "Come As You Are" and explore their Crocs style. Its online shopping capability is also user-friendly and notably smooth in functionality, allowing customers to browse a wide range of options wherever they are.

Since 2023, Crocs has shifted its focus in-store to tell captivating stories around personalisation.  Eye-catching floor fixtures showcase collections alongside dazzling Jibbitz™ displays.  These are not just displays – they're conversation starters, designed to spark curiosity and inspire customers to  "Come As You Are" and personalise their Crocs experience with unique Jibbitz™ combinations.

Crocs is dedicated to investing in its Visual Merchandising (VM) team. The VM Champion Exchange initiative exemplifies this commitment. This programme flies participants from various countries to Singapore for days-long workshops focussed on "Execution Excellence" in visual merchandising. The 2024 VM Champion Exchange Session in Singapore was a resounding success, with attendees from 10 countries participating in 3 days of workshops, activities, and store visits.

Crocs’ new global concept store design strategy has played an instrumental role in propelling the brand towards annual revenues of nearly $4b in the past year. It has also led the footwear personalisation space with Jibbitz™ charms, with revenue contribution increasing from 19% in 2022 to 23% in 2023.

Passionate about fostering long-term talent retention, the regional Visual Merchandising (VM) team also invests time in creating Bi-monthly VM eLearning content and VM Exchange Programs to enhance team developmental capabilities.

“In Crocs, we continue to challenge ourselves to deliver a seamless, easy and enjoyable in-store shopping experience with Visual Merchandising. Following our incredible win last year, which coincided with the best-ever year the brand has experienced across all touchpoints, we are committed to going above and beyond whilst maintaining our upward and onward momentum in 2024,” a Crocs spokesperson said.

Its success in creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers has been recognised by the coveted Retail Asia Awards, with Crocs bagging the Footwear Retailer of the Year - Singapore category win for another year, as well as the Visual Merchandising of the Year - Singapore win.
