Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific Limited bags Customer Experience Initiative of the Year - Singapore at FMCG Asia Awards 2023

Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific, headquartered in Singapore, has been honoured with the prestigious Customer Experience Initiative of the Year - Singapore award at the FMCG Asia Awards 2023. This accolade recognises the company's groundbreaking initiative, the "Colgate Metaverse Masterclass," tailored for dental students.

The Colgate Metaverse Masterclass was an innovative learning experience specifically curated for dental students. It provided unparalleled access to esteemed experts in a virtual environment, combining education and enjoyment seamlessly. This initiative, orchestrated by Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific Singapore Branch, aligns with the brand's overarching mission to ensure a promising future for all, including their valued partners in dental professionals.

The programme's primary objective is to bridge gaps in dental education by imparting essential skills crucial for successful dentistry, such as dental practice management and building strong patient relationships—areas often neglected in traditional curricula. To address these shortcomings, Colgate created a virtual dental clinic, selecting students from across India to participate alongside renowned dentist Dr. Sandesh Mayekar as a special guest speaker. This 90-minute immersive session mirrored real-life dental practice scenarios.

The virtual session delved into practical problem-solving, offering insights into dealing with real life scenarios of running a dental practice. The interactive nature of the discussion allowed participants to ask questions and engage with one another, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

To create a truly immersive experience, Colgate Palmolive partnered with Baker-E, a US based studio founded by ex Disney Imagineers who have 100 years of combined experience in creating magical experiences.

The Colgate Metaverse Masterclass garnered overwhelmingly positive responses from participants, who described it as a truly unique learning experience. The initiative successfully achieved its goal of providing exclusive knowledge, connecting students with notable experts, and creating an engaging educational environment.

This initiative not only serves as a proof of concept for a novel approach to customer and partner agreements but also solidifies brand affinity. It exemplifies the company's unwavering commitment to advancing holistic development for professionals.
