Central Retail Corporation wins Retail Asia Awards 2024 for Central Chidlom Department Store

Multi-category retailing platform Central Retail Corporation garnered the Department Store of the Year - Thailand category win at the esteemed Retail Asia Awards 2024 for the recent success of its Central Chidlom Department store.
Despite being opened in 1973, the store remains as an iconic constant of Thailand’s shopping landscape. In 2024, Central Chidlom embarked on a bold metamorphosis, transforming itself from a cherished landmark to "The Store of Bangkok," by aiming to be the number one luxury department store in Southeast Asia.
The store has noticed that customers are now seeking increased luxury and unique offerings, personalisation, and a greater lifestyle integration. This evolution includes a notable shift to seamlessly blend physical and digital experiences.
To resolve this, Central Chidlom has encompassed both its interior and exterior spaces with a new design concept that combines creativity and luxury – highlighted by the largest luxury shoe section, a new beauty world destination, a fresh sneaker boulevard, and an integrated lifestyle Food & Beverage experience.
It also utilises data and technology to deliver exceptional services to customers in the retail space and to differentiate itself from competitors. This is manifested through its new luxury loyalty programme Cenfinity, which elevates VIP access, dedicated concierges, and exclusive invitations to launches and events.
The store has also featured interactive activations such as art installations, pop-up shops, and AR/VR capabilities.
At the same time, Central Childom currently prioritises sustainable practices throughout its operations, from eco-friendly packaging, recycled materials for store decorations, solar electricity and electric vehicle charging stations to partnerships with brands.
