This exceeded last year’s transaction volume.

This year’s JD618 Grand Promotion saw a total transaction volume of RMB379.3b, exceeding last year's figures, JD Worldwide reported.

In the first 24 hours of the 18-day campaign alone, JD recorded hundreds of brands saw a 100% increase in sales.

Moreover, over 400 brands saw their sales double in the final 28 hours of the festival that closed on June 18.

In particular, over 50 cosmetic brands registered a 100% year-on-year rise in sales, whilst self-operated fashion brands recorded a 98% growth.

Baby diaper sales and dietary supplements’ sales climbed by 243% and 79% YoY, respectively. Luxury goods and watches, meanwhile, saw a 300% growth.

“The growth was predicted, but I didn’t expect it to be so high,” Pinky Nie, head of the official overseas flagship store of the UK’s Vitabiotics, said.

Vitabiotics first launched its product in JD618 campaign in 2021.

It reported a 249% increase in sales conversion rate and a 107.31% growth in gross merchandise volume month-on-month during the campaign.
