Tim Hortons launches in Singapore
Other Tim Hortons cafés will be opened in Nex, One Raffles Place and Suntec.
Canada-based coffee chain Tim Hortons has launched in Singapore with its first outlet in VivoCity.
The newly launched café will feature its beloved menu that includes Tim Hortons’ signature coffee, fresh pastries, and baked goods for Singaporeans, seizing the demand for high-quality coffee and quick-service food.
Following the opening at VivoCity, Tim Hortons will also set up outlets in Nex, One Raffles Place and Suntec. There are also plans for expansion into the Malaysian and Indonesian markets.
Leading the expansion is Marubeni Growth Capital Asia (MGCA), a subsidiary of Japan-based investment conglomerate Marubeni Corporation. The opening of Tim Hortons in Singapore is one of the major plans for the corporation to expand and lead investments into Southeast Asia.

Currently, global coffee consumption has continued to rise, especially in the Southeast Asian market. For Marubeni, Singapore serves as the ideal hub to launch the brand into a region with a strong demand for coffee products and café outlets used for socialising.
“With Tim’s unique coffee blends and made fresh approach we are sure to provide a distinct offering which will make Tim Hortons a household name in the years to come. Community, warmth and care are fundamental values of Tim Hortons and resonate well with our consumers,” Vaibhav Punj, CEO of MGCA Café and Master Franchisee of Tim Hortons Singapore, commented.
