Central Retail expands further with new Thai Watsadu branch

Central Retail Corporation Public Company Limited (CRC) continues its expansion with the opening of a new Thai Watsadu Chaiyaphum Branch.
The company invested some THB500m for the store’s 61st branch, which has an area of 19,000 square metres.
“Following the success that we have had in the past 12 years with 60 branches of Thai Watsadu already opened across the country, the opening of the 61st branch, or Chaiyaphum Branch, suggests the economic potential and strength of Chaiyaphum Province as part of the burgeoning Northeastern region,” Suthisarn Chirathivat, CEO of CRC Thai Watsadu Limited under Central Retail, said.
The store, operated by a CRC subsidiary, is a new mega home product mall that is expected to meet the rising demand in the real estate sector in Thailand’s northeastern provinces.
The company noted more than 170,000 households are within a 30-kilometer radius in which the average household income is relatively high.
CRC also said it will continue to implement an omnichannel strategy to give customers more access to its products and services.
“The country’s overall hardline building materials industry in early 2022 showed signs of the recovery because of the government's economic stimulus and the reopening of the tourism sector as well as a higher rate of vaccination that results in increased economic activities,” Suthisarn said.
“Although the overall situation in 2022 is still challenging, a good sign is that the hardline building materials sector is likely to recover approximately 15% in line with the improving economy. It is also expected that the overall business sector will regain its strength in the second half of this year.”
