Alibaba’s Ele.me launches accreditation of F&B chains hiring PWDs

The food delivery platform will offer training in hiring and supporting employees with disabilities.

Alibaba-owned food delivery services Ele.me has introduced an accreditation program for food-and-beverage (F&B) merchants actively hiring employees with disabilities, the company said in a news release.

In collaboration with China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF), Ele.me will offer merchants marketing support and training opportunities to meet specific requirements, such as hiring employees with disabilities full-time, registering them for social insurance and levelling up their salaries to that of other staff

To celebrate the initiative, Ele.me and the CDPF revealed that restaurant chain, Mo Qi Jun, is the first to meet the accreditation standards. Mo Qi Jun, which primarily serves delivery customers, operates 10 stores across Nanjing and has 19 employees with disabilities.
