Giving small businesses simplified wi-fi through a mobile app
Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, recently announced a new solution designed to give small businesses secure and reliable business-grade wi-fi with easy to set-up access points (AP) and an intuitive mobile app.
A cost-effective wireless solution, the HPE OfficeConnect OC20 is designed for businesses without dedicated IT resources so they can deploy and manage wi-fi promptly across all vertical industries.
“Small and medium businesses are a critical growth engine for economies in South-east Asia. According to International Data Corporation’s research, Asia is the third largest region for small business IT spend, demonstrating that these businesses increasingly rely on innovation and technology to deliver value to their customers. With the HPE OfficeConnect OC20, small business owners can focus on their business goals and increasing productivity with the knowledge that they have strong network infrastructure in place,” said Justin Chiah, director and general manager (SEA and Taiwan), Aruba.
Since small businesses tend to have limited IT resources, it is important to have quick self set-up or configuration with the assistance of a channel partner and the OC20 wireless solution addresses these challenges by offering an intuitive and economical wireless solution that is simple to manage without technical expertise.
Speaking to Retail Asia, Chiah said: “Retailers are embracing cloud and mobile technologies rapidly, and they are under tremendous pressure to have a strong presence online. The HPE OfficeConnect OC20 especially brings value to retailers here in South-east Asia, where close to 73% of digital retailers in this region have adopted smart devices to use over a wireless network for their business transactions.”
With intuitive mobile application, retailers can get their HPE OfficeConnect OC20 network up and running in less than two minutes, he added. “When business is ready to expand, new HPE OfficeConect OC20 can be added and will automatically join the network, with no set up required.”
