Temu joins IAAC to strengthen IP protection efforts
It will collaborate with brands and enforcement partners.
Temu has joined the International AntiCounterfeiting Coalition (IACC), a global network of more than 250 companies and organisations in over 40 countries focused on fighting counterfeit goods and piracy.
The company said the move strengthens its intellectual property (IP) protection efforts, which have expanded since its launch in 2022.
As a General Member, Temu will participate in the coalition’s working groups and collaborate with brands, industry associations, and enforcement agencies to strengthen global efforts against counterfeit goods and improve consumer safety.
The membership builds on an existing partnership between Temu and the IACC. In May 2025, Temu signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the coalition and joined its Marketplace Advisory Council, a cross-industry forum including online marketplaces, payment providers, and global brands.
Temu has also highlighted the scale of its IP enforcement systems, which operate across seller vetting, pre-listing screening, and 24/7 post-listing monitoring. The company says its system includes a database covering more than 6,700 brands, supported by over 38 million images and 9 million keywords.
According to Temu, more than 99.9% of takedown requests are resolved within three business days, with an average resolution time of less than one business day.
Its Brand Guardian Initiative, launched in 2024, currently works with more than 1,500 brands to support IP enforcement and monitoring.
