IKEA to open first New Zealand store
It will offer more than 7,500 products.
IKEA has confirmed it will open its first New Zealand store at Sylvia Park, Auckland, on 4 December.
The 34,000 m² store will offer more than 7,500 products, available in-store, online, and by phone. The company has also installed its iconic signage on the Sylvia Park site ahead of the launch.
For the first time in a new market, IKEA will introduce 29 nationwide Pick-Up Points and home delivery services to improve access across the country.
A Buy Back service will also be available, allowing customers to return pre-loved furniture from IKEA or other retailers.
Ahead of the opening, IKEA has launched its free IKEA Family loyalty programme, offering members exclusive benefits and early access. Registration is available now at www.IKEA.co.nz.
New Zealand is the first new market for IKEA’s largest retailer, Ingka Group, since 2021.
The launch is part of a €5b global expansion plan through FY27.
