Kolmar Korea expands globally with natural K-beauty products
The company invests heavily in r&d.
Kolmar Korea is expanding its presence in the global skincare market by focusing on products that use traditional Korean ingredients.
With demand growing for natural, ingredient-focused beauty, the company said it is gaining global attention for its cleansers and masks.
Its Mung Bean pH-Balanced Cleansing Foam, made with skincare brand Beplain, has sold over 10 million units worldwide. It modernises Korea’s 1,000-year-old use of mung beans as a natural cleanser and is popular in the U.S., France, China, and Vietnam.
Kolmar’s Relief Mud Mask, made with BRMUD, uses over 30% Boryeong mud and ultra-fine particles for deep cleansing.
Over 30% of Kolmar’s staff work in research and development, and the company invests 6% of annual revenue into research.
Recent breakthroughs include proving the anti-aging effects of Spiraea Salicifolia and the hair-loss prevention benefits of Sophora flavescens.
Kolmar is also commercializing Korean plant scents, including the Rose of Sharon and lotus, to boost sensory appeal.
