Jollibee Foods launches programme for recycling plastic packaging wastes

Its partnership with Republic Cement serves to support the Extended Producer Responsibility Law.

Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) has partnered with Republic Cement and Building Materials, Inc. for a programme that recovers and diverts plastic packaging wastes through co-processing.

The agreement serves to support the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Law, which allows the reduction of the volume of plastic waste and the increase of life of plastics through upcycling or recycling.

The programme is one of the initiatives under the Joy for Tomorrow global sustainability agenda, prompting the recovery of post-consumer plastic packaging wastes, diversion out of landfills and waterways, and transportation to Republic Cement for co-processing.
