Domino’s Pizza to open over 400 stores in China until 2024

This came after the franchisee in China debuted on Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

DPC Dash, the exclusive master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in China, is accelerating its expansion in the market and launching 420 stores in 2023 and 2024 followings its initial public offering in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange last March.

In a statement, DPC Dash said it plans to open around 180 new stores in 2023 alone and expand by 240 more in 2023. It also aims to launch between 200 and 300 new stores each in 2025 and 2026.

The pizza restaurant expanded its footprint to the cities of Qingdao, Changzhou and Wenzhou in April, bringing its city coverage to 20 and total store count to 638.

Its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange resulted in around ($626.7m) in gross proceeds of which 90% will be used to ramp up its store network.

“The recent listing was a great achievement for DPC Dash as well as for our global franchisor, Domino’s Pizza.  With the newly raised proceeds, we aim to aggressively expand across the greater China region and to bring our comprehensive product offerings to hundreds of millions of potential Chinese consumers.  We are excited for consumers across China to taste our handcrafted quality pizza at an attractive value proposition,” said DPC Dash Director and Chairman Frank Paul Krasovec.
