UNIQLO Japan same-store sales rise by 17.5% in May

Total sales including online sales also climbed by 19.8%.

UNIQLO Japan saw its same-store sales, including online sales rise by 17.5% year-on-year in May 2022, Fast Retailing reported.

The fashion brand also registered a 19.8% increase in total sales, including online sales over the same period.

“Same-store sales increased sharply year on year in May thanks to buoyant Golden Week and UNIQLO anniversary sales as well as strong sales primarily of core Summer ranges,” the company said.

Moreover, Fast Retailing reported that UNIQLO Japan closed just one store, following the opening of a total of 14 stores and the closure of four others in April.

This brings UNIQLO Jpana’s total stores to 785, to date.
