Shopee, Visa announce five-year regional partnership

They will incentivse MSMEs in digitalising their businesses.

Shopee and Visa have entered into a five-year regional partnership to spur greater participation in Southeast Asia’s digital economy, a statement read.

Both firms will incentivise MSMEs in digitalising their businesses on Shopee and adopt Visa’s digital payments services and grant them with marketing and campaigns to drive traffic and sales to online stores.

They will also launch co-branded credit cards in collaboration with local banks, in addition to offering Visa payments and exclusive sponsorship platforms to Shopee users.

Shopee will also deepen its partnership with Visa’s payment management platform Cybersource for transaction processing and fraud detection.
