JD.com invests $141m to establish JD Fashion platform

It will allow thousands of brands to launch new fashion products at the same time on JD’s marketplace.

JD.com is committing $141m (RMB1b) to build its fashion platform, JD Fashion, into a leading global fashion destination.

The group said it aims to enhance and expand the platform’s range of stylish apparel from both domestic and international brands.

The investment will support the simultaneous launch of new fashion products from thousands of brands on JD’s online marketplace. It will be bolstered by targeted marketing initiatives, including partnerships with celebrities and renowned designers, as well as innovative cross-industry collaborations.

A key element of the strategy is the integration of JD’s Little Magic Cube channel, designed to accelerate product launches and engage consumers more effectively.

The company will also introduce a ‘10-billion-yuan Discount’ program, offering daily RMB30 discounts on purchases of RMB300 or more, to attract and retain customers.
