Central Food Retail, Zipmex to launch Southeast Asia’s first digital supermarket

This forms part of Central Retail’s strategy to drive innovation, under the CRC Retailligence.

Central Food Retail, under Central Retail, has partnered with cryptocurrency platform Zipmex to launch the first digital supermarket in Southeast Asia.

“We plan to tap into the retail potential of the metaverse, a world that runs on digital asset infrastructures such as crypto and NFT,” Stephane Coum, CEO of Central Food Retail, said.

“We see enormous potential to enhance shopper experience and lifestyle through convenient, seamless and interactive access to products and services.”

This is in line with Central Retails strategy to drive retail innovations of the future by creating a seamless consumer experience, under its five-year CRC Retailligence plan.

According to Zipmex Thailand CEO and Co-Founder Akalarp Yimwalai, the partnership will likely create more customer benefits, such as access to products and services in real time.

Zipmex provides support and knowledge resources to both retail customers and partners seeking to expand their businesses to the metaverse.

Partners of Zipmex benefit from the ability to tap new market opportunities, drive revenue and increase customer awareness and engagement, Yimwalai said.
