Jollibee’s Mang Inasal installs solar panels for Zamboanga stores
Both Sindangan and Molave branches generated 48,000 KWh.
Mang Inasal, one of Jollibee Group’s prized brands in the Philippine market, has initiated the use of solar panels, starting in its stores in Zamboanga.
Since December 2023, the grill-specialty brand has installed solar panels in its Sindangan and Molave branches.
The installed solar rooftops for both stores have generated a total projected yearly savings of 48,000 kilowatts per hour (KWh), helping the reduction of carbon dioxide emission of over 75,000 lbs. (34,000 kg.).
“In support of Jollibee Group’s efforts to shift to renewable energy, Mang Inasal is taking initial steps towards environmental sustainability. And being a highly franchised brand, we are thankful that our franchisees back us up in this endeavour,” Mike V. Castro, President of Mang Inasal, said.

Hanzel Uy, franchisee of Mang Inasal Sindangan, stated that the focus on a more environmentally responsible operation makes the business more cost-effective and socially responsible for future generations.
“Apart from the long-term savings on utility costs, we feel good knowing that we are able to contribute to a cleaner environment by tapping renewable source of energy,” Uy said.
