Deliveroo parent exits Singapore and Japan as multi-month review cites conditions
The decision comes after a multi-month review of market conditions.
DoorDash, Inc. has announced that it will wind down its Deliveroo and Wolt operations in Singapore and Japan, as well as in Qatar and Uzbekistan.
The company said it plans an orderly exit, coordinating with local teams, partners, and stakeholders to minimize disruption for employees, merchants, consumers, and couriers.
The decision comes after a multi-month review of market conditions, aligning with DoorDash’s strategy to focus investments on markets where it can achieve sustainable growth and long-term leadership.
Despite these exits, the company confirmed that its financial guidance, issued on 18 February 2026, remains unchanged.
“Our priority is supporting our teams and partners through an orderly transition as we focus on the geographies where we can offer the best products and build for long-term success,” Miki Kuusi, Head of DoorDash International, CEO of Deliveroo, and Co-founder of Wolt, said.
