CJ Olive Young expands skin analyser service to 100 stores in Korea
It provides customers with scalp and skin condition analysis.
CJ Olive Young will expand its self-operated skin analyser machines to about 100 stores in major South Korean cities by the end of 2025.
The free service provides customers with scalp and skin condition analysis, offering personalized skincare advice based on hydration, sensitivity, and other factors.
Store staff use “SELLY,” Olive Young’s exclusive counseling app, to recommend products tailored to each customer’s skin type, texture preferences, and ingredient needs.
The expansion targets growing demand for personalised beauty services, especially among Gen Z and Millennials. It also supports the shift in retail from search-driven to discovery-based shopping.
At the flagship Olive Young N Seongsu store, customers who used the “Skin Scan Pro” service showed a 78% purchase conversion rate, nearly double that of non-users (43%).
