RedMart rolls out two new delivery services

This aims to provide greater flexibility to customers.

Lazada's grocery arm, RedMart has enhanced its delivery offerings by launching two new delivery services, Sunrise Delivery and Saver Delivery, in phases throughout July to provide greater flexibility to customers, according to a media release.

Sunrise Delivery caters to working adults and citizen professionals, managers, executives and technicians (PMET), allowing them to have groceries delivered around their schedules. Orders placed the day before can be delivered by 7am the next morning.

Meanwhile, Saver Delivery, which is scheduled at 8am-2pm and 2pm-8pm, enables RedMart to deliver to more homes within an area, with greater efficiency. With the six-hour delivery window, RedMart is said to be able to offer an eco-friendly option that has a smaller carbon footprint than timeslot deliveries.

Redmart noted that this, together with hiring over 500 staff and the acceleration of automation processes in the upcoming West Fulfilment Centre (West FC), allowed the company to optimise its operations to ultimately serve 50% more customers as compared to pre-pandemic.

The West FC is a fully automated logistics hub designed to integrate and provide end-to-end solutions to optimise efficiency and operations, resulting in faster turnaround time to meet rising consumer demand.
