Japan-based Daiso opens first Canada store

It offers a range of products from Disney-themed items to phone accessories.

Japan-based dollar store franchise Daiso has officially opened its first Canada store in Downtown Vancouver at Granville Street, the company announced through its social media channel.

The store offers a range of products including Disney-themed items, cutlery, phone accessories, cushions, and Rillakuma- and Sumikkogurashi-themed face masks. It runs all week long from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and customers were urged to wear a mask when entering the store.

To celebrate its opening, the company offered for the first 100 customers who purchased $30 without taxes to get a goodie bag. Afterwards, 100 more customers who bought $50 without taxes got a free Sumikkogurashi plush
