Jollibee to spin off, list international arm in Hong Kong
It said the venue supports ambitions extending beyond Asia.
The Philippines’ Jollibee Foods Corporation is planning to spin off its international business, naming Hong Kong as the venue for its proposed listing and appointing a CEO for the new entity.
The fast-food giant said that it will pursue a separate listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for Jollibee Foods Corporation International (JFCI), the vehicle that will hold its current international business.
The move follows the 6 January 2026 announcement of the planned separation. JFC has since worked through transaction structure, governance, financing, systems and organisational preparations for both businesses.
JFC cited Hong Kong's depth of listed Asian consumer and restaurant companies, its access to global and regional investors, and JFCI's existing brand presence across Asia as reasons for the choice.
The company said the venue supports ambitions extending beyond Asia, including continued growth in North America.
Richard Chong Woo Shin, currently JFC's Chief Financial and Risk Officer and CEO of JFC International, will become CEO of JFCI.
He has three decades of finance and business leadership experience, including senior roles at William Grant & Sons, Ralph Lauren, Bacardi and Altria.
He will keep his current JFC and JFC International roles until the separation is completed, then transition to JFCI CEO full-time.
