Uniqlo to open first Kyoto flagship store

It will highlight Kyoto culture and traditions.

Uniqlo will open its first global flagship store in Kyoto on 6 November.

Uniqlo Kyoto will replace the retailer’s existing Kyoto Kawaramachi store on Kawaramachi-dori, which is its largest store in the city.

The new store will feature Uniqlo’s full LifeWear collection across expanded sales floors, along with the brand’s customer service.

Located along central Kyoto’s main boulevard, Kawaramachi-dori is home to major commercial facilities and shops and is a popular entertainment district for visitors from Japan and overseas.

The store will also incorporate Kyoto’s traditions and culture while reflecting the city’s changing appeal.
