Private labels, stronger margins drive Central Retail profit
Thailand and Vietnam remain growth priorities.
Central Retail reported a 124% year-on-year increase in net profit to THB2.114b in the second quarter of 2026.
Chief Financial Officer Panet Mahankanurak said the company’s performance reflected continued investment in expanding and renovating its business network to support sustained sales growth.
“This has been achieved through effective brand and product mix management to better address customer needs, increasing the contribution of high-potential private brand products, and optimising inventory management,” he said.
Central Retail maintained disciplined cost management despite macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties, while continuing to focus on capital planning and allocation.
The company said it is closely monitoring economic conditions and related risks to protect its financial position and liquidity.
In the second half of 2026, Central Retail will focus on quality growth and continue expanding and optimising its portfolio across Thailand and Vietnam to support sustainable growth and shareholder returns.
